The Museum of Music Project Showcase Series presents 12 singers in selections from two New York City composers' musical dramas based on two great American novels by Jack London and Willa Cather.
     

"MARTIN EDEN" by Gregory Nissen  and

"O PIONEERS!" by John Taylor Thomas

"Martin Eden" is Jack London's 1908 story of a young sailor who transforms himself to become a literate, wealthy author and finds himself alienated from both worlds.  


"O Pioneers!", by Willa Cather, portrays Swedish immigrants struggling to run a farm on the Nebraska prairie in 1890.
